The youth who are neither in employment, education, nor training, commonly referred to as NEETs, represent 25.1% of the population aged between 15 and 34 in Italy, while companies struggle to find young people with IT skills.

To bridge this gap, ReadyForIT+ offers a training and inclusion program to create job opportunities in the IT sector, making them accessible to young people who are not employed or in education, as well as to young migrants and refugees.

ReadyForIT+ is one of the winning projects of the Onlife call promoted by Fondo per la Repubblica Digitale

ReadyForIT+ has organized training courses for the period between July 2023 and July 2024, lasting 3 to 6 months, completely free and delivered remotely, at multiple independent levels:

• LV8 learning game for acquiring basic digital skills (developed by the Vodafone Foundation)
• A 3-month intensive course in IT Support & Cybersecurity, including 3 Cisco certifications, specific coaching on soft skills, and active support in job search (delivered by Academy Rapido)
• 6-month courses to acquire skills in Fullstack Web and Java Backend (delivered by Develhope).

ReadyForIT+ supports students in their job placement through the involvement of specialized agencies in personnel recruitment and selection, as well as directly through the Human Resources and IT functions of partner companies.
